Vendor check-in

Every vendor visit, on the record.

Vendors scan the QR code on your back door and check in. No app, no account. Each visit becomes a time-stamped record with their notes and photos, ready to hand an inspector, landlord or insurer.

Our team sets up Skillet in your kitchen, vendors included. Free, by application.

Why owners use it

Proof your vendors showed up

Check in at the door

Vendors scan a QR code and enter your check-in code. There’s no app to download and no account to make, and the page shows your restaurant’s name and colour.

Work orders start on arrival

Checking in starts that day’s work orders for that vendor at that location, with the time they arrived. They mark each one done with a note and a photo.

A record you can hand over

Every visit is kept with its times, notes and photos. If a vendor skips the check-in, your manager confirms the visit, and the record says so.

How it works

From the back door to the record

  1. Put the QR code on your door

Add your vendors and the work orders they’re booked for, then put your vendor page’s QR code where they come in.

  2. Vendors check in and do the work

They scan, enter the check-in code and see today’s work. When they finish, they mark each work order done with a note and a photo.

  3. You get the record

Who came, when they arrived, what they did, and the photo to prove it. It’s there in the Console the moment they save.

Questions

Questions owners ask

Do my vendors need to download an app?

No. The QR code opens your vendor page in their phone’s browser. They type their name, their company and your check-in code, and they’re checked in. The page comes in 12 languages, so a technician can read it in theirs.

Can anyone who finds the QR code check in?

They can open the page, but they can’t check in without your check-in code. Before the code, the page shows only your name, your location and a number to call. Instructions for getting in, like where the key is, appear only after the code is entered.

What if a vendor never checks in?

The work order stays open. Your manager can confirm the visit, and the record shows it was confirmed by your team with no check-in, so a visit with proof always reads differently from one without.

Does it work if I have more than one location?

Yes. One vendor page covers every location you choose. A vendor picks the location they’re at before checking in, and their work orders for that location start.
